Metro has selected 15 community members to participate in the agency’s new Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC), which will help Metro re-envision public safety on its transit system. Please join us for the bi-weekly meeting of PSAC on Wednesday, May 5.
Metro’s newly selected advisory committee members hail from throughout L.A. County and represent a diverse range of perspectives. Selected committee members either ride the Metro system regularly, have knowledge of transit, or possess specialized expertise as representatives of various community-based organizations.

Metro’s new Public Safety Advisory Committee will have the opportunity to provide recommendations on the remaining six months of Metro’s law enforcement contract, including the approach for the future opening of the Crenshaw/LAX line. The committee will be instrumental in helping Metro launch pilot law enforcement programs, gather lessons learned, identify costs, and seek customer feedback. I am glad the PSAC page on television website includes a link to video of the April 21 (not 24) meeting. Now if only all the outdated material under FAQs could be removed.
