Community Conversations: Advocacy and Empowerment in Koreatown to take place Dec. 3

Metro’s “Community Conversations” are online meetings hosted by community leaders to help us learn the histories, art, activism and cultural assets of the neighborhoods that shape Los Angeles County. Our next conversation, Advocacy and Empowerment in Koreatown, will take place on Thursday, Dec. 3 from noon to 1 p.m.

Join the Koreatown Immigrant Workers Alliance (KIWA) to learn and discuss how their work has evolved since the 1990’s to meet the needs of immigrants, workers, and tenants in Koreatown. You’ll also hear about how their vision for public transportation is linked with an economically just future for the neighborhood.

Alexandra Suh, Executive Director of KIWA & Steve Cho, Organizer with KIWA.
