Metro’s “Community Conversations” are online meetings hosted by community leaders to help us learn the histories, art, activism and cultural assets of the neighborhoods that shape Los Angeles County.
In honor of National Native American Heritage Month, our November featured speaker is Julia Bogany, member of Tongva Tribe. Julia has worked for more than thirty years for the American Indian community for her Tongva tribe and has provided training and workshops throughout Southern California and beyond.
Join Julia Bogany on Tuesday, Nov. 17 to learn how her collaboration with artists in L.A. County has increased the Tongva community’s visibility in their homeland. The conversation will take place from noon to 1 p.m.
The conversation is free to join! Make sure to RSVP to receive the virtual meeting link and call in information.
