Virtual scoping meetings to be held for project to add more frequent service on Metrolink’s Antelope Valley Line

Metro invites the public to participate on Thursday, October 15, and Saturday, October 17, in virtual public scoping meetings for the Antelope Valley Line (AVL) Capacity and Service Improvements Program in preparation for a draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) as part of the CEQA environmental review.

At the meetings the public will learn how proposed Antelope Valley Line capital improvements could improve service frequency between Los Angeles Union Station and the Santa Clarita Valley to as often as every 30 minutes and every 60 minutes to the Antelope Valley. The project will provide a more reliable commuter rail service to meet mobility needs of residents, employees, and visitors throughout the region.

The three key capital improvements proposed along the rail line’s corridor in the cities of Santa Clarita, Los Angeles and Lancaster will be discussed.

The virtual scoping meetings will be held:
