Work to upgrade a section of the C Line (Green) signaling system will take place this weekend, requiring three station closures and Metro bus shuttles between Aviation/LAX and Harbor Freeway Station.
Starting Friday, August 28 at 11 a.m. through Sunday, August 30 close of service, train service will be closed to Hawthorne/Lennox, Crenshaw and Vermont/Athens Station.
All eastbound trains will travel as far as Aviation/LAX Station and turn back to Redondo Beach. The last stop for all westbound trains will be Harbor Freeway Station. From there, trains will return to Norwalk.
Bus shuttles will provide service to all stations between Harbor Freeway and Aviation/LAX and match the train frequency as best as possible. If you’re traveling through the work area, please allow extra time to transfer between buses and trains.
Metro personnel will be on hand to lend assistance at all Green Line stations where work is occurring, and bus shuttles are in effect. As always, we thank you for their patience and understanding as rail work can be a dynamic process.
