All public events at Union Station postponed for next 30 days

Out of an abundance of caution and based on the recent recommendations from the California Department of Public Health, Metro has postponed all public events at Union Station for the next 30 days. This includes the Clock Tower Comedy event scheduled for this evening at Union Station.

Metro is coordinating closely with the L.A. County Department of Public Health and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to ensure an appropriate response to coronavirus (COVID-19). We will continue to ensure that our system remains as safe and clean as possible. Information on all future Union Station events will be posted at unionstationla.com. Information on the steps Metro is taking to combat the spread of coronavirus is here.

  1. Metro and its partners are supplying us with unhelpful and inconsistant information.

You have told us that all public events at Union Station are cancelled. Casey’s Irish Pub is teaming up with a bar at Union Station to have a giant St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Casey’s website lists Metro as one of the sponsors. Casey’s website says that the event is occurring on Tuesday.

    • Hi,

The cancellations were only decided upon and announced yesterday, March 12. Staff is working to inform all partners and event organizers to make sure they have the most accurate information. Casey’s will need to update their webpage, but understandably they may be busy trying to figure out what to do with supplies and staff due to the last minute nature of this cancellation.

      Thank you,
