Celebrate San Gabriel through the eyes of artist Sandra Low

“Through the Eyes of Artists” poster featuring San Gabriel by artist Sandra Low. Look for the poster featuring her artwork on Metro buses throughout LA County.

Metro artist Sandra Low depicts a cuisine inspired vision of San Gabriel in the latest installment of our “Through the Eyes of Artists” poster series. Low combines the interpretation of a neighborhood with modern sensibilities in a surreal landscape that pays homage to the brushwork of traditional Chinese painting. Her art is a representation of what’s emblematic of the community today while paying tribute to its culinary legacy.

Meet Low and receive a free, signed copy of her poster during San Gabriel’s Lunar New Year Festival on February 8. Metro Art staff will be handing out signed copies until 8 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.

About Through the Eyes of Artists

In the tradition of celebrating transportation through colorful travel destination posters, Metro commissions a diverse range of Los Angeles artists to create original artworks for the Through the Eyes of Artists poster series.
