These are the Metro Art events happening in December

From the kick-off of our outdoor holiday concerts series to the array of tours exploring the artwork along Metro Rail stations, here’s your guide to all the Metro Art events happening in December:

  • Sunday, December 1: Art tour of downtown rail stations from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Union Station information kiosk near the Alameda Street entrance.
  • Thursday, December 5: Raised on Records from 10 a.m. to noon. Start your morning with a throwback in harmony, doo-wop and live soul music by the St. Jukes. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!
  • Friday, December 6: The first in this year’s annual holiday concert series at Union Station, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the South Patio. Stop by and enjoy some Latin beats from Conganas.
  • Saturday, December 7: Art tour of Hollywood rail stations from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the street level entrance to North Hollywood Station (Red Line).
  • Sunday, December 8: Art & Architecture Tour of Union Station from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meet at the Union Station information kiosk near the Alameda Street entrance.
  • Friday, December 13: For the second in the holiday concert series at Union Station, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on the South Patio, get a kick out of the swinging sounds of the Hi-Fi Honeydrops.
  • Saturday, December 14: Art tour of downtown rail stations (en Español) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meet at the Union Station information kiosk near the Alameda Street entrance.
  • Friday, December 20: Holiday concert series from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Union Station on the South Patio with special guest QUITAPENAS.
  • Saturday, December 21: Join artist Mara Lonner for a walking tour around the Leimert Park neighborhood that inspired the artwork she designed for the future Martin Luther King, Jr. Station from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. beginning at the Tom Bradley Environmental Science and Humanities Magnet School.
