Service Advisory: buses replace Green Line trains between Aviation/LAX and Redondo Beach this weekend

Metro will be upgrading signal systems on the Green Line beginning 9 p.m. Friday, Oct .25 through 3 a.m. Monday, Oct. 28. During this time, there will be no train service between Aviation/LAX and Redondo Beach Station. Free bus shuttles will be provided to help customers complete their trips.

The LAX G shuttle will continue to operate from Aviation/LAX Station during the closure.

Thank you for your patience as we improve the Green Line. For real-time service updates, please check our Twitter @metrolaalerts.

  1. Ugh, this was a major inconvenience today as I thought to check service advisories before leaving the house and now I’m going to late (both ways). Why couldn’t have this been done with the series of closures over the summer and early fall?

  2. With all these Special Rail Line Replacement Services being provided how much local bus service is being affected? There is just a small spare factor in each division with buses and the need to to fill all bus scheduled service with Bus Operators.
