This month, all Councils will meet and receive a Title VI Update. Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 prohibits discrimination based on race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, and gender identity in any program or activity that is supported with Federal funds. Metro is committed to ensuring that the level and quality of transportation service is the same for all people riding the system.
The San Gabriel Valley Service Council will meet in a different location this month as an experiment to see whether a change in location will attract more riders and make the meetings more visible to the public. The meeting will be held at El Monte Station in the space next to the Metro Bike Hub. The meeting will be held at its usual time of 5 p.m. As you may recall, the the Westside/Central Service Council recently changed their meeting time to 6 p.m. to make their meetings more accessible to the public as well.
The Service Council meetings provide residents with more opportunities to contribute to service issues in their neighborhoods, as well as region-specific project updates. The scheduled items for each Council are listed below, and the agendas are posted monthly with links to the presentation materials.

Yes, moving the meeting 600ft will surely improve attendance. Still have to pay $2 to park just for the privilege of listening to 8 people who don’t regularly ride Metro talk about Metro.
