The Broad always has amazing exhibits and installations that the whole family can enjoy! Its current exhibit, Soul of a Nation: Art in the Age of Black Power 1963-1983, is no different. The exhibit highlights the works of prominent Black artists made during the height of the Civil Rights Movement.
Bold fashion garments, colorful paintings and captivating sculptures are among some of the many standouts this exhibit has to offer.
Visiting this exhibit is a MUST and there’s great news for all the art lovers out there… admission is FREE on Thursdays! That’s right, visitors receive free walk-up access to Soul of a Nation every Thursday until August 29. Last entry is at 7 p.m. The Broad also offers a free gallery talk that gives visitors unique perspectives on the art, artists and era of Soul of a Nation from some of the gallerists and cultural leaders from that time.
This powerful exhibit is only here until Sept. 1, so be sure to reserve your spot!
