Four of the five Councils will hold their regular meetings in July; the San Fernando Valley decided to go dark as their regular meeting date falls on the day before the July 4 holiday. The Councils that are meeting this month will decide whether to meet in August, and approve the workshop dates, times and locations for the next round of NextGen workshops.
As the 2019 fiscal year comes to an end, each Council will recap everything that happened in the last year with their FY19 Reviews. Gateway Cities and Westside Central will also adopt their FY20 Work Plans; the rest of the Councils adopted theirs last month. As transit cleanliness has become a more significant issue for transit riders, our Station Evaluation team will present results for the last quarter of FY19. San Gabriel Valley will also hear about Metro’s plans for parking and enforcement of Micro Mobility Vehicles (scooters, to the average user); the rest of the Councils heard the presentation in June.
The purpose of the Councils is to improve service and provide a space for riders and members of the community to ask questions, provide suggestions, and voice concerns about bus service. Links to individual web pages for each Service Council provided below with the list of their July meeting scheduled items. Agendas are posted monthly with links to the presentation materials here.
