Service Council agendas for June

The current fiscal year is coming to a close on June 30 and the Councils are preparing for FY2020. At their June meetings, all Councils will elect a chair and vice chair and adopt their work plans for the new fiscal year. Metro’s low-income fare program, LIFE, will present updates to the program and explain how transit riders can apply for discounted fare.

All Councils will also receive an update on the NextGen Bus Study; staff will highlight the next steps for the project and share feedback received from the recent workshops. Finally, all but the San Gabriel Valley will receive a Micro Mobility Vehicles Program Update on how Metro is regulating scooter parking; the update will go to the San Gabriel Valley next month.

The purpose of the Councils is to improve service and provide a space for riders and members of the community to ask questions, provide suggestions, and voice concerns over bus service. The scheduled items for each Council are listed below, and the agendas are posted monthly with links to the presentation materials here.
