Metro’s On the Move Riders Program and GTrans are hosting an Older Adult Transportation Pop-Up on Thursday, May 2 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Ken Nakaoka Community Center. The event is designed to provide older adults with information and resources to learn how to safely and independently travel on fixed route transportation.

The event program includes GTrans demonstrating one of their buses to show attendees bus features, including lifts and on-boarding. Other participating agencies include LADOT, Torrance Transit, Metro’s Mobile Customer Center, Metro Transit Security, and more. Dodgers alumni Al Ferrara, who takes the Dodger Stadium Express to Dodgers games, will also be at the event to sign autographs.
