New regional transportation options are now on TAP, like Metro Bike Share. Additional programs, including MicroTransit, electric vehicle car-charging and parking, will soon be on TAP as well.
Use a TAP card to load Stored Value or agency passes on 25 participating transit systems. Just tap each time you board a bus or train and the correct fare will be deducted.
You can also pay for additional transit programs using funds stored in your TAP Wallet. The TAP Wallet holds flexible payment options for transit and other programs. In addition to storing credit/debit cards, you can now add cash funds with PayNearMe, or use PayPal at checkout. To get started, create a TAP account on taptogo.net.

At a Metro Board meeting, I heard TAP has an autoload program, where when your balance gets low, it puts a pre determined ammount on the card from your credit or debit card, The caveat is you have to call TAP to set it up. It can’t be done on line. Is this still the case?
Hi,
That is correct, you’d have to call 866.TAPTOGO in order to set up autoload.

Can you finally put in a nickel, dime, and quarter into a Tap Card Stored Value? I’ve been complaining about this for 2 years going on 3 years.
You cannot activate the funds you add from taptogo unless you activate at a station. The buses are NOT equipped to do this. I know! I just had them tefund me because i had to walk in the rain for three weeks because the nearest train station is out of my reach.
