January is almost here; on behalf of the Metro Regional Service Councils team have a pleasant and healthy 2019!
This month, all Service Councils will host NextGen workshops in their regions. Come to a workshop to learn more about the NextGen Bus study. With your input, we can work together to improve our bus system. There are opportunities to receive a free TAP card for attending and to win a transit pass at each of the workshops. All NextGen workshop dates, times, and locations can be found here, and more information about the study is available here.
Only the South Bay will hold their regular meeting in January; the San Gabriel Valley and Westside/Central Service Councils will hold brief meetings following one of their region’s NextGen workshop in January, and both San Fernando Valley and Gateway Cities will go dark until February. The South Bay Service Council will receive a TAP Program update and a Crenshaw/LAX Line Station naming overview.
The scheduled items for each Council meeting are listed below, and the agendas are posted monthly with links to the presentation materials here. These meetings provide residents more opportunities to contribute into service issues in their neighborhoods, as well as region-specific project updates.

Is the TAP card for the workshop a special design for the bus study or just a general one with blue, red, and yellow?
