UPDATE, 4:30 p.m. Saturday: Work has been completed for today, trains resume normal service. Shuttle service will conclude at 5:00 p.m.

At approximately 5:15 a.m., Metro received reports of a traffic accident (not involving Metro vehicles) near the Gold Line tracks — and resulted in the Gold Line overhead wires having to be de-energized. The pic below explains it. As a result, there is no Gold Line service between Soto and Maravilla Stations as the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power works to resolve the situation. Estimated repair time is currently 12 to 24 hours.

Trains are turning back northbound at Soto Station, and southbound at Maravilla Station. Supplemental bus shuttles are servicing Soto, Indiana and Maravilla Stations in both directions.
