Here are the Metro Art events happening in September

“City of Dreams/River of History,” an iconic mural in Union Station’s East Portal by renowned artist Richard Wyatt. The mural is part of an artwork with several components, created in collaboration with artist May Sun.

Get your adventuring on with Metro Art Moves as we tour around town to check out the artworks in Metro stations. Here’s your guide to the September offerings, including a special tour of Expo Line stations in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month. All tours are free and open to the public!

  • Saturday, September 1: Art tour of Hollywood rail stations from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the street level entrance to North Hollywood Station (Red Line).
  • Sunday, September 2: Art tour of downtown rail stations from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Union Station information kiosk near the Alameda Street entrance.
  • Saturday, September 8: Art tour of Downtown rail stations (en Español) from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meet at the Union Station information kiosk near the Alameda Street entrance.
  • Sunday, September 9: Art & Architecture Tour of Union Station from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meet at the Union Station information kiosk near the Alameda Street entrance
  • Saturday September 22: New series of art tours to Gold Line stations from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meet at the entrance of Del Mar Station.
  • Sunday, September 23: Special art tour in celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month to Expo Line stations from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. More details to come….
