Summer is in full effect and so are the triple digit temperatures. Beat the heat by learning all about Metro’s regional projects and programs at one of the Service Council meetings held in an air-conditioned facility near you. The San Fernando Valley is back this month after going dark for the 4th of July holiday and both the Westside/Central and South Bay Service Councils will meet in August. The San Gabriel Valley and Gateway Cities Service Councils opted to go dark this month but will return in September.
All of this month’s Council meetings will include the monthly Regional Service Performance Report, and a Q4 Station Evaluation Report. The Councils will also adopt a FY19 Station Evaluation program for their regions. Both San Fernando and South Bay will receive a Transit Safety Programs Overview and have their members make Line Ride Reports. The San Fernando Valley Service Council will also swear in a new Councilmember, receive their FY18 Council Review, adopt a FY19 Work Plan, and receive the Sepulveda Transit Corridor Project Update. The Westside/Central and South Bay Service Councils will both receive overview presentations on the New Blue Project and the Crenshaw/LAX Bus-Rail Service Interface Plan.
