Where 2 LA? World Cup 2018 ends this Sunday and we’ve got the cure for your soccer fever

Check out the video above to see how we’ve been dealing with World Cup fever. We also predict the winner of World Cup 2018 using a highly scientific selection formula with a 101 percent accuracy rate. (Purchase the buses used in the video at Metro’s Pop-Up Shop — find out when the next one pops up here.)

And if you’re already bracing yourself for the soccer hangover you’ll experience once World Cup 2018 ends…don’t! There’s plenty of great transit-accessible soccer here in Los Angeles and the season doesn’t end until fall.

LAFC plays at Banc of California Stadium, located a short walk from the Expo Line. Use Expo Park/USC Station, or take the Silver Line to 37th Street Transitway Station. Bonus for Metro riders: show your TAP card at LAFC HQ team store and receive a 10 percent discount on hats!

LA Galaxy plays at StubHub Center in Carson, and Long Beach Transit operates the free Galaxy Express shuttle that connects to the Metro Blue Line’s Del Amo Station and the Harbor Gateway Transit Center — served by the Silver Line — on game days.

  1. We need a National Women’s Soccer League team, however. Next year is the Women’s World Cup, and if you want to see some amazing play without the prima donna problem and without gratuitous flopping, check that out. Then maybe the LAFC or LA Galaxy might want to sponsor a team, if there is enough demand. #WeGotNext #TheFutureIsFemale
