Metro will be hosting an open house “meet and greet” at Downtown Santa Monica Station on Wednesday, June 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Stop by to meet law enforcement officers from LAPD, Long Beach PD, Santa Monica PD and LASD. You’ll be able to learn about transit safety and security, as well as share feedback directly with the officers.
Representatives from On the Move Riders Program, Go Santa Monica, Metro Community Education and Metro Transit Security will also be available to provide information and fun giveaways!

Smpd isnt part metro contract
Hi Mark,
They are not part of the policing contract, but Metro and LASD work with local city police to educate about transit safety, and Santa Monica PD is responsible for the areas surrounding our stations so they welcome feedback from riders who travel around these neighborhoods.
