The Service Councils would like to thank all those members of the public who attended last month’s meetings to participate in the NextGen Bus Study listening sessions. Another NextGen update and listening session is planned within the next few months. More information about the NextGen Bus Study can be found here.
While not every Council meeting is conducted as a listening session or workshop, there are opportunities for the public to ask questions and provide feedback on each of the topics discussed, as well as on items that are not on the agenda. If you can’t attend a meeting, you can still submit comments to email@example.com
At this month’s Council meetings, all Councils will receive presentations on the results of the most recent on-board survey, the quarterly station evaluation report, and the monthly regional service performance report. There are also a couple of region-specific updates: Metro Bike Share Expansion will be heard at the Westside Central meeting (May 9) and a Green Line to Torrance Update will be presented at the Gateway Cities (May 10) and South Bay (May 11) meetings. Gateway Cities will also receive an update on the West Santa Ana Branch Project.
A couple of minor items will also be discussed. The San Fernando Valley will have to decide whether to hold a July meeting, as their regular meeting date falls on July 4. The San Gabriel Valley will elect a Chair (and possibly a Vice Chair) as their chair resigned in March. The San Fernando Valley and Gateway Cities Councils both have one Council Member to give a line ride report. The South Bay asks all of its members to do the same, time permitting.
This month’s meeting dates are listed below; information on each region and its Council representatives can be found on the Council web pages:
