Final Update: Blue Line resuming normal service

Final update, 6:18 p.m.: Emergency repairs have concluded. Trains are resuming normal service with residual delays until 7:15 p.m.

The Blue Line will experience major delays through this evening’s commute due to emergency repairs to the overhead power system near Washington Station.

Trains are sharing one track between San Pedro and Florence Station. To prevent train congestion, some southbound trains will turn back at Washington Station and some northbound trains will turn back at Vernon Station. Please follow station announcements.

Supplementary bus shuttles that will run between 7th/Metro and Vernon Station have been requested to help accommodate evening commuters.

We also recommend taking the Silver Line to the Green Line as an alternate route. You can transfer from the Green Line to Blue at Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station.
