UPDATE: The parents of the child found on the Purple Line train have been located and the child is safe.
The Los Angeles Police Department came across an unaccompanied child earlier today on the Metro Purple Line. They are now asking for the public’s help in identifying a family member or legal guardian of the found child. See LAPD’s press release below for details.

On December 16, 2017, a child was observed by Los Angeles Police Department Officers sitting alone on a Metro Purple Line train heading towards Union Station. The found child was not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian
The child is described around 8-10-years-old male Asian with black hair and brown eyes. He is 3 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 65 pounds. The child is wearing a red long sleeve shirt, tan pants and camouflage tennis shoes.
