CicLAvia is an event where people like to show off their tricked out bicycles, and there’s one bicycle in particular that I’m always happy to see rolling: the LAPL Book Bike!
The Los Angeles Public Library Book Bike can often be seen during Open Streets events giving away free books and signing people up for library cards. This past CicLAvia, I met up with children’s librarian and LAPL Book Bike founder Ednita Kelly to talk about how she got the idea for the book bike and why she wants to keep it going. Check out the video above to hear from Ednita.
Look for the LAPL Book Bike at the next CicLAvia in December, or follow them on Twitter @laplbookbike to find out what other events they’ll be attending.
