Meatless Mondays with Metro: Golden Road DTLA

Take a little more transit and eat a little less meat — are two things you can do to help the environment. In this installment of Meatless Mondays with Metro, let’s check out Golden Road DTLA.

Golden Road DTLA is a brewery with a really good food menu that has a lot more vegan/veggie options than one might expect from a beer purveyor. In fact, every Sunday they host a vegan happy hour with wallet-friendly small bites so you can give all of their vegan dishes a try.

Their vegan burger is made with Beyond Meat, which I currently think is the best meat substitute patty of all meat substitutes. And they have something called mushroom risotto fritters, which is extremely high on my list of Things I Need to Try.

Plus, they have a rotating vegan special for those feeling somewhat adventurous. The most recent one was a vegan donut burger made with Donut Friend — their donuts are legit — that I couldn’t bring myself to try because I’m still not on board the donut and burger train. But hey, maybe your taste buds will enjoy it!

Golden Road DTLA is located inside Grand Central Market, a super short walk from the Red/Purple Line Pershing Square Station. Exit towards 4th Street and turn right on Hill Street.
