Autumn has arrived and even though the leaves aren’t necessarily falling, October is welcoming earlier sunsets and fresher evenings. Come join us and learn all about Metro’s regional projects and programs. All Service Councils will meet in October to receive presentations related to their region.
All Councils, with the exception of South Bay Service Council, will receive the Bike/Bus Interface Study. Gateway Cities and South Bay Service Councils will receive a U-Pass Update, while all will have the monthly Regional Service Performance report
The public is welcome and encouraged to attend and share input at Service Council meetings. For more information about each Service Council Meeting, click on the name of the Council below to view their web page. All agenda items listed below.
San Fernando Valley (6:30 p.m., Wednesday, 10/4) – Van Nuys Metrolink Project Update, Bike/Bus Interface Study, Council Member Line Ride Report, East San Fernando Valley Corridor Project Update, and the Regional Service Performance Report.
San Gabriel Valley (5:00 p.m., Monday, 10/9) – Bike/Bus Interface Study, Foothill Transit Service Changes, and the Regional Service Performance Report.
The San Gabriel Valley Service Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, November 13, regarding proposed service changes to Line 177. More information on proposed routes and the public hearing location will be posted soon here.
Westside Central (5:00 p.m., Wednesday 10/11) – Electric Bus Program Update, Bike/Bus Interface Study, and the Regional Service Performance Report.
Gateway Cities (2:00 p.m., Thursday 10/12) – Receive Bike/Bus Interface Study, U-Pass Update, I-710 Program Features, Council Member Line Ride Report, and the Regional Service Performance Report.
South Bay (9:30 a.m., Friday, 10/13) – Complete Streets Policy Overview, South Bay Light Rail Extension Update, U-Pass Update, and the Regional Service Performance Report.

The public is encouraged to attend and share their comments or suggestions with the Service Councils on improving bus service throughout LA County. If you would like to provide input but cannot attend a meeting, you can also submit your comments in writing through the Service Council web page or send them to service councils@metro.net. If your comments are for a specific Council, please make sure to indicate which one you are addressing in your e-mail. You can also use the email to subscribe to your Council’s email list to receive the agendas and other regional notices.
