Crenshaw/LAX Line construction: weekend closure of Arbor Vitae Street near LAX starts tonight

The Crenshaw/LAX Line project will conduct a full street closure on Arbor Vitae Street between Aviation and Airport boulevards near LAX on the weekends of Sept. 8 to 11 and Sept. 15 to 18 for construction work. 

The work on Arbor Vitae Sat Portal Avenue has been scheduled between 9 p.m. on Friday through 6 a.m. on Monday. Metro’s contractor Walsh/Shea Corridor Constructors (WSCC) has established detours during the construction activities as follows:

Westbound:

Turn right at Aviation Boulevard, left at Manchester Avenue, left at Airport Boulevard, right on Westchester Parkway. Arbor Vitae St. becomes Westchester Parkway at Airport Blvd.

Eastbound:

Turn left at Airport Blvd., right at Manchester, right at Aviation, then left on Arbor Vitae.

Access to businesses on Bellanca Avenue between Manchester and Arbor Vitae will be maintained.

Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) encourages travelers to allow extra time for potential traffic delays. Passengers should arrive at their terminals two hours ahead of the boarding time for domestic flights and three hours for international flights.
