No 405 closure tonight — bridge work completed early!

Some happy news for a Friday: work removing the wood framing on the bridge that will carry the Crenshaw/LAX Line over the 405 freeway has been completed one day earlier than scheduled. Thus, no southbound 405 closure tonight!

Metro and its contractor building the project — Walsh Shea Corridor Constructors — would like to thank local residents and communities for their patience and support during the lane closures the past few weeks.

The 8.5-mile Crenshaw/LAX Line is being built between the Expo Line and Green Line and will serve the Crenshaw Boulevard corridor, Leimert Park, Park Mesa Heights, city of Inglewood, Westchester and LAX communities. The project is forecast to open in fall 2019.
