Delays on some Foothill Transit service due to earlier work stoppage

UPDATE, NOON MONDAY:

***

I know some Metro riders transfer to and from Foothill Transit, which is being impacted by a work stoppage that began Monday morning at FT’s Pomona facility.

Below is the service alert from Foothill Transit, which will be providing additional updates on this web page:

The work stoppage is now in effect at our Pomona operations facility, and both bus maintenance and bus operation has stopped. Extra westbound trips have been added to Line 498 and the Silver Streak in West Covina, and the additional service will begin there at 4:30 a.m. Additional service will also be provided on Line 493 out of Industry Park & Ride.

The following lines are served by our Pomona operations facility, and will be impacted by this work stoppage.

195, 197, 282, 285, 286, 289, 291, 292, 482, 486, 488, 492, 495, 497, 499, 699, 853, 854, and 855

For commuters who travel to downtown Los Angeles on Lines 495, 497, 499, and 699, we will be offering additional service on Lines 493, 498, and the Silver Streak to help offset the delays during this stoppage.

We are working with the contractor in Pomona on a service plan that will bring service back to promised levels as soon as possible. Our first priority is always safety. Service will be restored as safety requirements are met.

We appreciate that you choose to ride with us for your commute. Thank you for your patience as we work to accommodate a swiftly changing situation. And we apologize for any inconvenience.
