After four long years, the USA City Games – better known as the L.A. Watts Summer Games – will return to Los Angeles on Saturday, June 17!
The USA City Games will take place at the L.A. Memorial Coliseum with competitions in basketball, seven on seven football, volleyball, lacrosse, soccer, and track and field. The free event will be filled with entertainment, guest Olympians and celebrity athletes.
If you plan to attend the event, avoid the weekend traffic and parking fees and consider going Metro. The Coliseum is adjacent to the Expo Line’s Expo Park/USC Station. It costs $3.50 in stored value for a roundtrip plus $1 for a reusable TAP card, per person. Remember to tap your own card before each boarding.
Another option is Silver Line to 37th St/USC exit, which is about a 10-minute walk to the Coliseum. Note: the Silver Line fare is $2.50 per ride.
The USA City Games is set to begin at 9 a.m. and is open to all ages to attend.
