Everyone deserves a safe and enjoyable ride

Part of Metro’s marketing campaign to encourage a safer riding environment for all will include new bus and rail posters reminding passengers they are “on this ride together.” Please be respectful to fellow travelers so we can all reach our destinations safely.

  1. I believe that the people who make rides unsafe/unpleasant will not read a sign and behave otherwise. Just like the operator assault signs- this will probably not thwart those who mean harm. What message these signs send other travelers is that Metro isn’t safe to ride.

  2. Uncivilized patrons have forced me to cut back on my train rides. Thank goodness I can rely on the Big Blue Bus for some sanity.

  3. Am I being cynical in thinking the people who most need the message of that poster are the ones least able or willing to *get* the message?
