The Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) is inviting residents of San Dimas and La Verne to learn about a study of potentially adding a second track along the Metrolink San Bernardino Line at community meetings to be held on Tuesday, May 16, and Wednesday, May 17, 2017.
The project is evaluating the possible addition of 3.9 miles track between Lone Hill Avenue and White Avenue to enhance safety, improve Metrolink commuter rail service and upgrade 12 street crossings to make them safer and reduce collisions between trains and motor vehicles.
The meetings will take place on:
• Tuesday, May 16, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the La Verne City Council Chambers, 3660 D. St., La Verne, California 91750.
• Wednesday, May 17, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the San Dimas Plummer Community Building, 245 E. Bonita Avenue, San Dimas, California 91773.
The material presented at each meeting will be the same. Metro encourages
members of the community to attend the meeting that is most convenient for them.
All Metro meetings are held in American with Disability Act (ADA) accessible
facilities. Other ADA accommodations and translations are available by calling (323)486-3876 or the California Relay Service at 711 at least 72 hours in advance.
