On a recent episode of The Amazing Race, the contestants rode a trolley around a big city, had dinner and drinks, got the tour of the city and then ended up back at the place they started. I thought, what a great idea. How could Metro incorporate this idea into planning for the future? Please forward this to the correct department.
Well there’s a $200 Million streetcar project being developed to improve circulation in DTLA. That will be a small loop route not dissimilar to the silver line in San Diego.
This is exciting! But I just tried it and it said it was an invalid code, and I’m a new user.
I was looking forward to trying it; I’ve avoided it up until now due to its expense (costs more than other Metro forms of transit for a one-off). Makes me miss bike shares I’ve used in places like DC and Lyon that allow you to zip and go for a low one time price or reasonable annual fee (which does not charge you a per-ride fee in addition).
