This Weekend: Street improvement work on Vignes between Cesar E. Chavez and Ramirez

Traffic will be restricted on Vignes Street from Saturday, April 1, at 9 p.m. until Sunday, April 2, at 8 a.m. between Cesar E. Chavez and Ramirez Avenues in downtown Los Angeles due to street resurfacing conducted by the City of Los Angeles, Department of Public Works and Bureau of Street Services.

While the work is in effect, there will be no parking permitted on Vignes Street. While car access is on Vignes will be available, it is highly recommended to avoid the work area and use the following streets to avoid damage to your vehicle:

  • Cesar E. Chavez Avenue
  • North Mission Road
  • 1st Street
  • Alameda Street
  • Commercial Street

Metro Bus Lines 33 , 40, 704, 733 and 745 will be detouring while work is taking place. The official notice for buses scheduled to detour is below:

Lines: 33, 40, 704, 733 & 745

In Effect: 9:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 until 8:00 a.m. Sunday April 2, 2017 or when barricades are present.                         

Northbound/Eastbound: Regular route to Cesar Chavez Ave. and Alameda St. then continue via Cesar Chavez Ave. to (L) Vignes St., temporary stop established after left turn.

Southbound/Westbound: Depart Div. 13 via Metro Driveway before, (L) Vignes  St., temporary stop established nearside before right turn, R-Cesar Chavez Ave. and regular route.
