From a special art and architecture tour of Union Station exploring spaces not usually open to the public, to a night of cosmic instrumentalism from acclaimed musicians, here’s your guide to all the Metro Art events happening in March. Did we mention they’re all free and open to the public?
- Friday, March 3: Metro Art Presents an evening of sublime and ethereal performances by Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith and Gifted & Blessed. The performance takes place in the Union Station Historic Ticketing Hall from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.
- Saturday, March 4: Art tour of rail stations from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the street level entrance to the Red Line Hollywood/Highland Station.
- Sunday, March 5: Art tour of rail stations from 10 a.m. to noon. Meet at the Union Station information kiosk near the Alameda Street entrance.
- Saturday, March 11: Art & Architecture tour of Union Station — ¡en español! The tour takes place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meet at the Union Station information kiosk near the Alameda Street entrance.
- Sunday, March 12: Art & Architecture tour of Union Station from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Meet at the Union Station Information kiosk near the Alameda Street entrance.
- Friday, March 24: Metro Art Presents a night of cosmic instrumentalism by Josef Leimberg & The Astral Progressions Ensemble. The performance takes place in Union Station Historic Ticketing Hall from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.
