Except that the correct fare will NOT be automatically be deducted if you are transferring between agencies, as automatic interagency transfers still have not been implemented – despite a promised date of mid 2016. So you still have to do the kludge of stopping by a ticket vending machine when exiting the system to load a transfer, or dig up change to buy a paper transfer from a municipal operator like Big Blue Bus. If you don’t, you overpay.

    • Indeed, and yet San Francisco, which also uses a Cubic provided fare collection card implemented the transfer system over 3 years ago now?
