Here comes Santa Claus, here comes Santa Claus…on a historic Santa Fe 3751 steam locomotive for the first-ever Holiday TrainFest at Union Station. Bring the whole family to Track 14 at Union Station on Saturday, Dec. 17 and view Santa’s ride up close. You’ll also be able to enjoy holiday refreshments, tour vintage rail cars from the 1940s and 1950s that have been decorated for the holidays, and more! Staff will also be on hand to collect donations of new, unwrapped toys in support of Toys for Tots, and new socks to assist the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority.

The Holiday TrainFest is free and open to the public from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. You can reach Union Station by Metro Bike, Metro Bus, the Gold, Red and Purple Line, Metrolink and Amtrak.

The Holiday TrainFest and Toy Drive is presented by the Los Angeles-San Diego-San Luis Obispo Rail Corridor and Amtrak Pacific Surfliner in partnership with Metrolink, the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society, L.A. Rail, Metro and Toys for Tots. The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program collects new, unwrapped toys and distributes the toys as holiday gifts to less fortunate children in the local community.
