  1. Due to the incompetence of the MTA and the Sheriff’s Department, you lost a near-lifelong rider who has used the system faithfully since 2003.

That’s how miserable last night was.

    • Pretty dramatic. What do expect when you have a stabbing and a shooting at a station – to just walk by and get on your train. LOL. Just take an uber to the next station or if it was just me, I’d walk. It is only 13-14 blocks.

  2. News is currently saying the man attempted to stab one deputy, and then another who opened fire. Not may other details yet: http://www.latimes.com/local/lanow/la-me-ln-man-shot-deputy-santa-monica-metro-20161004-snap-story.html

I can imagine the platform at 17th St might be a bit small to handle the end-of-the line passenger unloading. You guys may want to consider running your shuttle between all three SM stations if Downtown has to close in the future, so people have the option of exiting the train at 26th St where there’s more space.
