There’s so much happening in Highland Park these days that I can barely keep up. I was exploring there recently to celebrate National Coffee Day — take a look at the video below to see a few of the superb coffee places just a stone’s throw from Highland Park Station — and I was really excited to find out how close Mr. Holmes Bakehouse is to the Gold Line.
If you haven’t heard of Mr. Holmes Bakehouse, it’s a pastry shop that began in San Francisco, and it’s most known for the cruffin — that’s a croissant muffin, and your blood sugar probably will spike just from looking at it. ? The shop’s other pastries are also amazing, so if you can’t get your hands on a cruffin, keep calm and get some bread pudding.
The store in Highland Park is located at 111 S. Ave 59 and it’s open every day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To get there, take the Gold Line to Highland Park Station or Line 81 to Figueroa/Ave 59. DASH Highland Park/Eagle Rock also serves the neighborhood!
