Measure M: projects and programs for the San Gabriel Valley

As part of the Nov. 8 ballot, Los Angeles County voters will be considering Measure M, a half-cent sales tax increase and extension of the Measure R half-cent tax beyond 2039 to pay for transit, highway, walking, biking and other transportation projects. Both taxes would continue in perpetuity or until voters decide to end them.

Metro has produced fact sheets that show the projects and programs in Measure M’s spending plan for each of the nine subregions of the county. Among the major projects that Measure M would help fund in the San Gabriel Valley are an extension of the Gold Line to Claremont, an extension of the Eastside Gold Line to South El Monte, completion of the 71 freeway between the 10 freeway and Rio Rancho Road and improvements to the 57/60 interchange.
