For those planning to ride the Green Line the night of Thursday, July 14, please note there will be no train service between Redondo Beach and Douglas Station. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department will be conducting a training exercise that prepares Sheriffs to respond and keep our system safe. The exercise starts at 11 p.m. until close of service.
This means all westbound trains travel as far as Douglas Station and turn back towards Norwalk. Metro bus shuttles will be available for customers traveling between Redondo Beach and Douglas Station.
In addition to bus shuttles, the following service levels will be in effect Thursday evening: Green Line trains will arrive approximately every 20 minutes. The last complete westbound trips depart Norwalk at 7:53, 8:11, 8:30, 8:50 and 9:09 p.m. The last complete eastbound trips depart Redondo Beach at 8:40, 9, 9:20, 9:40 and 9:55 p.m. Regular service to Redondo Beach and Douglas is slated to resume with the start of service Friday morning. Please note all times are subject to work-related delays.
These changes can also be found on our Planned Service Advisory page. Thank you to everyone for your patience and understanding. Please check back here at the Source or follow us on Twitter @metrolaalerts or @metrolosangeles for more transit news and service updates.
