Thanks to everyone for coming out to CicLAvia Southeast Cities on Sunday. Metro supplied $600,000 to fund the event as a way to promote walking, biking, skating — pretty much anything that’s not driving.
The turnout was good and the route was interesting, including South Gate, Huntington Park, Florence-Firestone, Lynwood, Walnut Park and Watts. Judging from the Blue Line stations along the route, a lot of folks came from outside the area — which to me is the best thing about CicLAvia: a chance to see another part of our sprawling region.

Is the next Ciclavia on Sunday May 29 or Tuesday May 31? Who writes this stuff? Is there another one, I would like to go to it and not get run over by a car on the wrong day.
Yeah, it was great to see all the people that came out from right in the neighborhood and from other places. Many friendly car-less loving people. The HUBS did a good job keeping the entertainment and information flowing. Thank you Go Human for my TAP Card. That Five HUB stamp card increased the race energy level of Ciclavia. It was something fun for everyone.
