Road work, more digging in order to install support piles, and wires going up!
More info here about the bus shuttle replacing Gold Line service between Union Station and Pico/Aliso while track work continues. Work is expected to wrap by March 21.
And more here about Metro’s parking validation program to help support businesses in Little Tokyo during construction.
The Regional Connector project is tying together the Gold Line, Blue Line and Expo Line via a new 1.9-mile underground rail tunnel in downtown Los Angeles that will also include three stations (Little Tokyo, 2nd/Broadway and 2nd/Hope). The project will reduce the number of transfers for riders traveling through and to DTLA on Metro Rail. The Connector is largely funded by a federal grant and Measure R, the half-cent sales tax approved by L.A. County voters in 2008.

That’s overhead CANTINARY, not simply wires.
Also known as a “catenary”. 😉
How many people know the word “Catenary?” For such an article “Overhead Wires” is easier for the general public to understand. Now if I was writing a technical manual, I would use the word “Catenary.”
