Expo Line resumes normal service

Final Update 9:45 a.m.: Expo Line is now resuming normal service between Expo/Crenshaw and Expo/Western. Metro bus shuttles have been cancelled.

8:39 a.m. Service on the Metro Expo Line has been suspended between Expo/Crenshaw and Expo/Western Station due to an overturned vehicle blocking tracks. All trains headed towards downtown L.A. are turning back at Expo/Crenshaw. Trains traveling southbound towards Culver City are turning back at Expo/Western Station.

Customers wishing to travel between the two stations may want to consider utilizing the suggested alternate routes below until Metro bus shuttles are established. We will continue to provide updates here on The Source and on Twitter @metrolaalerts and @metrolosangeles as they become available.

  1. Bus bridges are difficult during rush hour due to a shortage of available extra buses and operators. The only alternative then is to pull buses off of regular service thereby creating a service delay and overloads on those lines
