Many things have been installed, are being installed or are about to be installed!
More info here about the bus shuttle replacing Gold Line service between Union Station and Pico/Aliso while track work continues.
And more here about Metro’s parking validation program to help support businesses in Little Tokyo during construction.
Metro is moving the Gold Line tracks from the middle of 1st Street to the north side of the road in order to build a tunnel entrance for the Regional Connector project.
The Regional Connector project is tying together the Gold Line, Blue Line and Expo Line via a new 1.9-mile underground rail tunnel in downtown Los Angeles that will also include three stations (Little Tokyo, 2nd/Broadway and 2nd/Hope). The project will reduce the number of transfers for riders traveling through and to DTLA on Metro Rail. The Connector is largely funded by a federal grant and Measure R, the half-cent sales tax approved by L.A. County voters in 2008.
