Final Update 4:00 p.m.: Power has been restored on the Metro Gold Line between Pico/Aliso and Soto Station. Trains will resume regular service between Pico/Aliso and Atlantic Station. Regional Connector bus shuttles, extended to Mariachi Plaza and Soto Station during the disruption, will return to making stops only at Union Station, Little Tokyo/Arts District and Pico/Aliso.

Update 1:30 p.m.: Gold Line rail service remains suspended between Pico/Aliso and Soto Station until further notice. Coupled with the track closure due to Regional Connector construction, this means there are no Gold Line trains running between Union Station and Soto. 

Bus shuttles already in place to serve Union Station, Little Tokyo/Arts District and Pico/Aliso during the construction have been extended to make stops at Mariachi Plaza and Soto until power is restored. Customers may also continue to use Line 30 as an additional alternate route. Whether making use of Metro bus shuttles, or Line 30, expect additional travel time if commuting between downtown L.A. and East L.A. this afternoon.

At approximately 11:45 a.m., the Metro Gold Line lost power at Mariachi Plaza and Pico/Aliso Station, resulting in suspended service between Soto and Pico/Aliso.

Those wishing to travel through the area can utilize Metro Line 30 now providing direct service from Soto Station to Patsaouras Transit Plaza. Customers should also allow time to complete their trip. Trains between Soto and East LA are running every 10 minutes.
