Final update, 6:35 p.m.: The abandoned car has been removed from the Blue Line’s northbound track. Trains are resuming service to both tracks in the incident area, however, customers should expect residual delays of up to 15 minutes through the next hour, as trains get back on schedule.
Earlier:
The Metro Blue Line is running with 20 minute delays at this time due to a car abandoned on the northbound track near Florence Station. While Metro personnel and law enforcement work to remove the vehicle, trains will share the Long Beach-bound track between Florence and Willowbrook/Rosa Parks Station.
We will continue to provide updates regarding this incident here at The Source or on Twitter @metrolosangeles or @metroLAalerts. Blue Line customers looking to avoid delays may want to consider a combination of the Silver and Green Lines for travel between downtown and South L.A., or additional alternate routes available here.
