Deadline extended to vote for tunnel boring machine name

In order to allow for more community participation during the holiday season, the deadline to vote for the #CrenshawTBM name and artwork has been extended to Monday, December 7, 2015 at 9 a.m. local time! Cast your vote TODAY for a chance to make history and help Metro choose the TBM artwork and name.

The Crenshaw/LAX Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) will be digging the rail tunnel under Crenshaw Boulevard between Exposition Boulevard and Vernon Avenue. Metro has invited pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students to compete in a naming essay and art illustration contest for the new TBM.

  1. Eleanor Roosevelt was buried in Hyde Park NY not in Inglewood, CA. That information should be noted in your bio of Eleanor. I assumed that she was buried in Inglewood area of Los Angeles when I read your bio of her…
