The Hollywood Christmas Parade from Associated Television Intl on Vimeo
Go Metro to the Hollywood Christmas Parade this Sunday, Nov. 29 for celebrity sightings, giant balloons and performances by some of your favorite musical artists. The event begins at 5 p.m. in front of the TCL Chinese Theatre with the parade leaving from Hollywood Boulevard and Orange Drive. It then proceeds east on Hollywood Blvd., south on Vine Street, and west on Sunset Boulevard back to Orange. The Metro Red Line to Hollywood/Highland or Hollywood/Vine Station will put you right along the parade route.
Free curb-side seating is available along the majority of the parade route. Be sure to arrive an hour or so ahead of time to ensure a good viewing spot. Ticketed grandstand seating is also available.
Metro Rail will follow the regular Sunday/Holiday schedule the day of the parade, with trains departing every 10 minutes until 9 p.m. and then every 20 minutes until close of service. Please note that Metro Bus lines 2, 156, 180/181, 207, 210, 212, 217 and 222 may be impacted by detours the day of the event. For more information, visit the Service Advisories page closer to the event date.

[…] With all these closures, it’s no surprise at all that the organizers and LADOT are suggesting that people try to take the Metro Red Line to the parade. (Buses will be subject to detours like the rest of the cars, The Source reminds.) […]
It’s highly important that security in and around the parade be heightened so everyone will feel safe going there. I myself is thinking of going for the experience.
